I turned 40 this year and took a week off work to celebrate. It started with a trip to New York with my wife and ended with a 3 night stay in Elie with 6 of our closest friends.
If New York was fantastic then Elie was utterly magical. From the moment we walked into the stunning cottage the atmosphere was set…..drinks on the patio, dinner at the fantastic dining table and laughing till our sides hurt into the wee small hours. Going to bed waking up for a walk on the beach(30 yards away!!) then knowing we could do it all again for the next 2 days!!
New York is New York but Elie cottage is unforgettable! It certainly provided us with a 40th birthday I will never forget!
